some basic details about a Blue Sky Trek:

  • We love what we do and we want to share it with you.
We also often partner with incredible local in-country guides and collaborate with inspiring people and businesses offering unique workshops and experiences.

  • Our trips are usually between 8-12 people allowing us to have small and intimate groups.

  • Having fun and being safe are our top priorities. All guides will have an up to date Wilderness First Responder Certification.

  • Beautiful landscapes, charming towns, and the right amount of physical challenge. Sometimes a unique workshop, such as writing or art, and sometimes just trekking or trail running.

  • The principles of Leave No Trace are practiced on all of our trips. We hope that each trip inspires all of us to have even more care and respect for the environment.

  • We want for our trips to make everyone who joins feel accepted and safe, irrespective of physical limitations, race, sexuality or gender identity, or other attributes that are unique to you. If there is something we can be aware of to make you feel more comfortable in this space, please let us know.

  • We care a lot about the food we eat. And we believe it has the ability to transform an experience. Whether it's an alpine picnic lunch or a 3 course local dinner, we pride ourselves on offering delicious local cuisine.

  • We can’t deny that traveling only increases our carbon footprint. But we hope to bring awareness to that truth on our trips with the goal of each person on a trip caring for our Earth even more than before. Even small actions, such as picking up trash on the trail and using reusable containers on our treks can make a difference. We also believe that a sustainable experience should not only protect the environment, but it should also provide socio-economic benefit to the communities we visit. This could look like supporting locally owned businesses, or purchasing a souvenir from a local artisan instead of a mass-made object. We believe that the more we feel love and respect for our wild places, the more we’ll collectively care to protect them. And if you can include slower means of travel, besides flying, into your trip, we highly encourage it!
